Tackling Tough Weeds with Cover Crops – Video

Taylor Clarke, Farmer and Extension Agent from Brunswick County, VA, discusses how he transformed his tobacco-based family farm into a soybean-based system by introducing cover crops. After five years of cover cropping, he was not only able to manage marestail and Palmer amaranth, but also increase soil organic matter, which improved soil fertility and moisture regulation, among other benefits.
